Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting with the opportunity for a passionate Boutique Business Manager to join one of Australia’s leading designer retailers.

In this role, the Boutique Business Manager’s key responsibilities are to oversee all boutique operations and to lead and guide their teams—inspiring and developing them, in order to cultivate a vibrant environment that drives the store’s successful performance across customer care and commercial objectives.

The successful Boutique Business Manager will develop a nuanced understanding of their client’s needs, and will draw on their background in the premium retail sector to manage a dynamic scope of work across people leadership; commercial performance; styling expertise; brand ambassadorship; visual merchandising; boutique presentation; rostering, and retail operations; stock management and reporting.

The Cluster Manager will lead and inspire their teams to exceed store sales goals and KPIs and in doing so, they will develop and implement exceptional customer service strategies through creating positive working relationships and maintaining high operational and visual standards.

The successful talent will possess innate people skills, with a refined understanding of their client’s needs, and will draw on their background in the luxury retail sector to manage and multi-task across people leadership; commercial performance; visual merchandising; boutique presentation; retail operations; stock management; reporting; and training and hiring.

They will be expert in their ability to deliver styling advisory, both to clients and team members, drawing on their comprehensive brand knowledge across product and brand values.

The Boutique Business Manager will also work to foster a feedback-rich culture by identifying opportunities for team members to improve their performance through positive and constructive feedback and ensure that the action plans for performance reviews are managed.

They will present with experience in a premium retail environment, will hold exceptional customer service capabilities, and have proven experience achieving KPIs and sales targets.
