Role Overview


UMENCO is recruiting with the opportunity for a passionate Boutique Business Manager to join one of Australia’s leading designer boutiques, supporting the coveted designer destination as they expand inter-state.

In this role, the Boutique Business Manager’s key responsibilities are to oversee all boutique operations and to lead and guide their team—inspiring and developing them, in order to cultivate a warm environment that fortifies the store’s performance across customer-facing and commercial objectives.

The Boutique Business Manager will motivate, inspire, and drive each individual in their team to deliver the highest level of customer service, in order to foster an environment that is positive, supportive, and energetic.

The successful talent will possess innate people skills, with a refined understanding of their client’s needs, and will draw on their background in the premium retail sector to manage and multi-task across people leadership; commercial performance; visual merchandising; boutique presentation; retail operations; stock management; reporting; and training and hiring.

As a natural relationship-builder, the Boutique Business Manager will work closely with clients to nurture a loyal VIP database for their store.

Additionally, they will be expert in their ability to deliver product advisory, both to clients and team members, drawing on their comprehensive brand knowledge across product and brand values.

The talent we seek will be a thoughtful and confident communicator, with an excellent understanding of the brand and its client profiles. They will be consistent and attentive across all of their interactions with stakeholders, team, and customers, and will balance this with a passion for styling excellence and business growth.

They will come with 5 years of experience in a RTW retail environment, hold exceptional customer service capabilities, and have proven experience understanding and achieving KPIs and sales targets.

The ideal talent will be passionate about their fashion retail career; possess a proactive and results-driven attitude, and employ excellent organisation, delegation and problem-solving abilties.
