Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting a passionate Brand Director for a renowned Australian lifestyle brand, known for their classic and contemporary design handwriting.

Reporting to the Creative Director, the Brand Director will work collaboratively on the identification, design, and strategy for new product development and collections. 

The successful talent will also deliver captivating finished projects in line with the core brand vision, ensuring the dissemination of a singular creative direction across product. 

In their execution of the design vision, the Brand Director will understand, interpret, translate and present creative briefs to stakeholders at every level of the business, bridging a communicative link between the Creative Director and the product team.

In this role, the Brand Director will also be responsible for overseeing and reviewing pre-production samples, providing design feedback to the product team, and working alongside the Marketing Manager on the strategy and creative direction to market new products and collections.

A natural relationship builder, The brand Director will have exceptional people management and communication abilities; excellent commercial judgment with the ability to identify gaps in the brand’s product offering; and an innate awareness of brand-relevant trends across product design, marketing, and global visual trends.

The talent we seek will also have proven experience in understanding, interpreting, translating, and presenting creative briefs, possess a drive for meticulous results, uphold outstanding organisational skills, and present with agility and meticulous attention to detail.
