Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting a passionate Digital & eCommerce Manager for a locally made, high-end womenswear RTW brand.

In this senior role, the Digital & eCommerce Manager will be responsible for the trading and growth of the brand’s eCommerce business. The scope of this role encompasses all sales performance and creative direction for the brand’s digital channels, alongside the planning and management of social media platforms.

The Digital & eCommerce Manager will also be accountable to build and implement new system initiatives; develop and execute a sales-oriented roadmap for new site features; work with customer service to streamline digital customer experience, and work with PR and Marketing to ensure on-site content is aligned to the marketing and seasonal calendar.

Through all that they do, they will work to consistently achieve budget and YOY growth across all digital channels and will present frequent reports pertaining to online sales performance and insights for action in weekly trade meetings.

They will consistently track Google Analytics results to implement data-driven decisions that improve online KPIs, as well as review product stock levels against digital trading performance to identify new opportunities in merchandising or product mix that will drive sales.

A pivotal component of the Digital & eCommerce Manager role is to develop customer lifecycle strategies that will attract and retain customers and to consistently drive traffic to all of the brand’s digital channels. 

In doing so, they will analyse EDM results, manage the global affiliate program, and lead the onsite and technical SEO.

The Digital & eCommerce Manager will also oversee the digital budgets to ensure maximum profitability and ROI.

The talent we seek will have a vast depth of experience working with Shopify, Microsoft, Google Analytics, and creative programs including the Adobe Creative Suite.

They will have a background in eCommerce leadership, trading platforms, and online merchandising, as well as demonstrated experience in successfully exceeding online sales targets, and experience managing third-party agencies.

An inherent leader, the Digital & eCommerce Manager will be able to guide, engage and develop a team, and build connected relationships across the business, both with internal and external stakeholders.

They will be a highly analytical and data-driven individual, with confident decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure, on simultaneous projects, and to competing deadlines.
