Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting for the role of Operations Manager to lead a pioneering luxury beauty and wellness brand.

In this newly created role, the Operations Manager will play a critical role in the design and inception of the company’s operational processes and outcomes. This is a highly influential and cross-functional senior role that affords a birds-eye view across the entirety of the business’s operations.

The Operations Manager will be accountable to manage the commercial outputs and opportunities across sourcing, logistics, and warehousing, as well as planning, forecasting, use of systems, and commercial negotiations.

They will also be responsible for designing and implementing new processes for the brand, onboarding and setting up relevant systems, and overseeing the business’s operational capabilities through all stages to ensure that the business is able to achieve profitability, scalability, and efficiency.

A collaborative and interdisciplinary role, the Operations Manager will be exposed to the full product and customer journey across the business.

In all that they do, the Operations Manager will endeavour to position the brand as a best-in-class multi-channel wellness brand.  

The talent we seek will hold refined skills in facilitating research and discovery workstreams, embedding process accountability, and communicating deadlines and deliverables to the wider business.  

They will hold at least five years of experience managing business operations and strategies within logistics and supply chain, operations management, and IT infrastructure management in the beauty, wellness, and FMCG space.

Alongside this, they will have had exposure to high growth/start-up environments and experience in project management and planning IT implementation.

They will be confident in working with and auditing domestic and international suppliers and warehousing partners and will hold a robust knowledge of the product development cycle, with experience in critical path management, capacity planning, cost management, quality control, and compliance.
