Role Overview


UMENCO is recruiting a Head of Marketing & Growth to join an Australian ready-to-wear brand leading the eCommerce space, during a time of exciting international expansion.

In this role, the Head of Marketing & Growth will work to conceptualise and implement a marketing strategy that unites creative thinking with a KPI-driven performance marketing approach to grow the brand sustainably in the global market. This executive-level role constitutes an important part of the brands’ leadership team and will progress on a C-suite trajectory.

This role is responsible for overseeing brand marketing activities across all channels, and is critical to ensuring that all marketing output drives brand loyalty and a differentiated end-to-end customer experience.

The key responsibilities of the Head of Marketing & Growth will be to manage the yearly marketing calendar, delivering integrated, 360-degree campaigns with a strong commercial focus in line with appropriate seasonal timings for key markets, collection launches, campaigns and key events.

They will drive marketing channel growth strategies working closely with the social media team to execute data-informed, compelling social media campaigns that drive awareness and demand, build community, and deliver on brand objectives.

The Head of Marketing & Growth will assume full P&L responsibility for all marketing and branding investments, working with the CFO to keep the marketing budget in line with company targets and ensuring that marketing activities are executed commercially to deliver ROI.

They will monitor and share business growth indicators, identifying trends, troubleshooting issues and proactively identifying opportunities to accelerate growth. They will also lead A/B testing to demonstrate incrementality and ROI of marketing spend, sharing their learnings, and implementing results to deliver best-in-class marketing.

The talent we seek will hold exceptional people management and communication abilities, with the confidence to manage and lead a team of 12 to 15 professionals across digital marketing, eCommerce, social media, creative, PR and influencer marketing.

They will have a deep understanding of brand building and a strong background in digital marketing management, content creation, public relations, and influencer marketing.

The successful talent will have demonstrated success in delivering conversion and sales growth; experience in developing and executing marketing strategies; technical understanding of Shopify Plus and eCommerce plugins and demonstrated experience managing strategies from concept to execution. 

They will be a creative thinker – able to identify solutions ‘outside the box’, have an innate drive for results and hold a strong commercial compass, with the ability to interpret data to identify commercial opportunities within marketing activities.
