The brand has retail spaces in coveted locations across Australia and New Zealand, and a head office in an arresting architectural site in Sydney.

Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting with the opportunity for a strategic Head of Merchandise to join one of Australia’s most noted multi-brand luxury fashion houses.

This role will be responsible for implementing systems and procedures to streamline product forecasting and inventory management; implementing critical path processes for new products; implementing category and product budgets; conducting product research and design, and acting as the primary point of contact for the offshore manufacturing team to maintain a perpetual line of communication about product design updates.

The Head of Merchandise will also be accountable to create the range plan, and review and analyse product margin and product performance.

The talent we seek will also manage the supply chain across the product range; managing the internal flow of product-related communication; develop and manage the product training program and compile quarterly product reports.

The Head of Merchandise will hold a strong commercial compass, with the ability to transfer commercial opportunities into the design and development process, and will possess a drive for outstanding results.

Our ideal talent will come with proven experience in a similar role, working in product management, merchandising and product development, and will have exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

Additionally, they will demonstrate exceptional organisational and forward planning skills—able to ensure a well-organised workflow and a seamless adherence to deadlines.
