Role Overview


UMENCO is recruiting a creative and meticulous Head of Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience for a RTW Australian fashion house with a devoted following.

In this role, the Head of Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience will lead a team of visual creatives and both coordinate and execute visual coherence across the brand’s visual merchandising through a 360-degree approach.

They will oversee the brand’s national visual merchandising strategy and implementation, alongside managing the regional display initiatives and ensuring that they correspond to the brand standards and objectives.

The Head of Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience will develop and update seasonal visual strategies alongside buying and merchandising teams, review national VM execution, collating constructive feedback and recommendations to share with regional teams, and coach the VM Coordinator and Store Managers and oversee their workflow.

They will direct the design and development of in-store installations/activations/events and manage seasonal showroom creative, design and production, as well as conduct market visits to review progress, issues and new business opportunities and participate in on-site top priority installations.

Alongside this, the Head of Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience will manage store music selection, develop and support design and execution of global store openings, collaborate on design and development for visual props and tools.

The talent we seek with have a minimum of 5 years in a similar design-centric role within fashion or creative industries. They will hold a strong understanding of the creative development process, from concept to delivery and have an excellent eye for detail and visual aesthetics.

They will demonstrate proven experience in delivering multiple projects from inception to completion, and will have excellent presentation and communication skills to convey ideas and engage stakeholders.

They will be skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, and will possess a strong understanding of the creative development process, from concept to delivery.
