Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join the team at an iconic womenswear brand with a cult international following.

The purpose of the Human Resources Business Partner is to be responsible for partnering with members of the executive team, management teams and the wider business. The Human Resources Business Partner will implement human resource policies and procedures throughout all three sites within the business, both locally and internationally, to ensure the business has the right people and the right tools in place to achieve its strategic goals.

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for managing the following areas for all sites and all departments within the business: performance management, training and development, OH&S requirements, recruitment, staff benefits, compensation management, onboarding and offboarding of employees, upholding company culture, office and hybrid workforce management, and general human resources administration duties.

The HR Business Partner will also provide advisory to the wider leadership team in relation to relevant employment laws/regulations and relevant employment awards.

They will foster trust and strong partnership with the function leads and work to deepen their understanding of the business and its competitive landscape in the context of the luxury retail industry to anticipate and advise on workforce demand and supply.

The HR Business Partner will be able to anticipate future needs and manage change effectively. They will source, nurture, and engage best talent and leaders to realise the brand’s priorities.

They will effectively represent business’ needs to obtain stakeholders’ buy-in, and collaborate with other HR and/or corporate functions to synthesise and integrate diverse perspectives in order to derive optimal solutions for the business.

The HR Business Partner will also be responsible for organising, orchestrating and deploying relevant HR teams and expertise to support the quality delivery of proposed HR solutions, to achieve maximum human resources performance for best business achievement.

The talent we seek will have relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources/marketing/business/psychology together with several years’ experience in either agency or internal recruitment, with expert knowledge of sourcing, advertising and interviewing.

They will hold excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate complexity, show empathy and maintain confidentiality.

In addition, the HR Business Partner will have experience in a fast-paced environment with a challenging workload, and will be familiar with Australian and American Employment standards.
