Role Overview


UMENCO is recruiting an experienced Human Resources Coordinator for a contemporary Australian brand established in 2005. As the HR Coordinator, you will be an HR generalist who understands how to navigate the complexity of a dynamic and growing retail business. You will be accountable for all HR administration ensuring compliance with all legal guidelines and providing HR policy guidance and interpretation.

The HR Coordinator will be focused on supporting new hires, liaising with payroll, interfacing with immigration lawyers on all visa related matters, as well as maintaining appropriate knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will partner with business leaders maintaining management conversations, documentation, and will provide ER recommendations to ensure a world-class culture within the brand. The contribution to the creation/maintenance of metrics and will draw conclusions and recommendations based on trends of HR data points will be required. You will coordinate the recruitment of interns and support with new hires and team succession planning.

The successful talent will have a bachelor’s degree and three plus years of HR experience within a local retail brand. You will be able to successfully manage multiple projects with composure and have strong excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, and analytical skills. You will be people-focused with the ability to build relationships at all levels with a strong sense of maturity to confidently manage implications and impact on employees and the business. Experience in performance management, employee relations, and talent development is essential and an understanding of labor & employment laws, compensation & benefits, policies & procedures.

You will present with superb verbal and written communication skills in addition to proactive planning, strong follow-through, and follow-up abilities. The role requires a high level of detail-orientation combined with strong organizational skills. You will be able to effectively and efficiently support multiple teams within the company with a dynamic, highly personable, and culturally sensitive approach.
