Role Overview
UMENCO is recruiting a detail-focused Inventory Specialist for a coveted fashion and lifestyle brand with a cult following.
In this dynamic role, the Inventory Specialist will be responsible for the daily execution of stock replenishment and will support with the creation, execution and maintenance of the store grading matrix-considering sales opportunity by category, store capacity, customer profile and VM directive. They will also assist with the creation, execution and maintenance of the merchandise capacity and option plan strategy.
They will work in partnership with the production and warehouse teams on the inbound, outbound, movement and allocation of stock on a daily basis and will analyse location stock levels, back room and floor capacity levels on a weekly basis – communicating with the warehouse regarding any allocation issues.
Alongside this, the Inventory Specialist will provide recommendations for stock consolidation of both performing styles and end of season exit styles driving group margin and sell through KPIs.
They will support with the planning and buying team on weekly maintenance of merchandise and allocation reports, and will establish strong relationships with eCommerce and retail stores through store visits to develop a clear understanding of the business and customer.
Day-to-day, they will assist with seasonal packing lists; seasonal launches; will manage replenishments; manage store transfers; oversee store stocktakes and accuracy of stock levels; and will manage store damaged/faulty stock returns.
The Inventory Specialist will create barcode files, update information, generating barcodes for non barcoded product, and upload product into ERP system.
At all times, they will oversee the data integrity of inventory and merchandise across the business, and will work closely with buying and production to maintain an up-to-date delivery schedule to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of stock into stores.
The talent we seek will have experience liaising with 3PL warehouse; managing department costs in line with department budgets; working at a high-level with Excel, and conducting analysis and reporting, and delivering this back to internal teams and business leadership.
They will be an exceptional problem-solver, anaytical, with a high attention to detail, and will be able to handle pressure while remaining calm and personable.
