Role Overview


UMENCO is recruiting for Product and Sustainability Manager who will responsible for the overall management of Product Development for its brand. It encompasses sourcing Fabrics, Trims, and Overseas Factories. It is ultimately responsible for the execution and delivery of each seasonal sample collection, ensuring each collection is delivered on time, in accordance with the range plan, and to required margin % and quality that is expected by the Brand. Previous experience in a similar role in a premium brand environment and a strong focus on Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees the design development process to ensure all elements are executed in line with agreed timelines, standards, pricing, quality and creative design briefs.
  • Ensures all team members adhere to critical path dates and all suppliers meet compliance and ethical sourcing requirements before commencing development
  • Manage target FOBs including 3rd party fabrics to ensure that product first margin is achieved in line with company budget.
  • Product costing and margin delivery
  • Support the Head of Sales & Product and ensure range plan requirements are met with
    regards to agreed pricing architecture.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales & Product and Technical team to support the design team
    in the delivery of SMS to meet critical path timeline, target gross profit, craftmanship and
    quality.
  • Manage and ensure design and development costs including sampling costs, SMS sampling costs, technical contractors, courier costs are in line with company budgetKPIs
  • Product Development executed in line with agreed standards, timeline and budgets.
  •  Quality of team output and achievement of Critical path deadlines.
  •  Achievement of agreed gross profit, cost targets and budgets.
  •  Critical path, quality and fit in line with agreed timeframes and standards.
  •  Compliance to agreed Ethical Sourcing protocols.
  •  Implementation and enforcement of Sustainability practices
