Role Overview

 UMENCO is recruiting a passionate Retail Business Manager to join a favourite Australian fashion and lifestyle brand, known for their minimalist essentials.

In this role, the Retail Business Manager will lead and execute the Retail B&M Strategy by delivering exceptional customer experience, driving profitable outcomes, and embodying the brands’ ethics in all that they do.

The successful talent will be responsible for implementing and executing the B&M sales strategy in-store, working to deliver on store profit targets, while ensuring the brands’ reputation for thoughtful, compassionate service is upheld, and that long-term store conversion targets and increases in customer lifetime value are accounted for.

They will lead and train all retail store employees, and will be accountable for the team’s comprehensive understanding of brand, product knowledge, and customer service standards.

Additionally, they will strategically manage retail overheards, including wages, through identifying and assessing areas for cost-effectiveness, ultimately delivering store profit targets.

The Retail Business Manager will also be responsible for the management of store operating standards including visual merchandising, marketing directives, store presentation, and atmosphere, identifying areas for refinement and optimisation.

This is a cross-functional role, whereby the successful talent will work closely with the Cluster/Area Manager to communicate store feedback in a timely manner and to ensure that strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are managed effectively.

Our ideal Retail Business Manager will have a minimum of one year in a similar role; hold a proven ability to inspire,  motivate and engage a retail store team; exemplify a passionate approach to brand and customer experience, and hold an innate commercial compass.

They will also have strong retail reporting expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
