Role Overview


The Vice President, eCommerce will lead the global online business strategies from North America. Responsibilities include the development and optimization of eCommerce trading, digital retail, digital marketing, and digital operations functions. The Vice President, eCommerce will ensure strategic implementation of digital content, merchandising, marketing, and digital client experience in partnership with the Founder, Creative and CEO of the brand. The Vice President, eCommerce ensures that the online experience is aligned transversally with sales, to deliver consistent brand and co-ordinated experiences between the channels. Cross functional partners include the Marketing and Communications team, Merchandising team, Finance and Operations team, Client Services and the Consumer Management-Client Engagement teams.

 

Reporting to the CEO, you will work collaboratively across the business to develop and implement online and digital marketing strategies that will propel the brand forward and leverage growth opportunities in the international market.

You will be responsible for ensuring a flawless customer experience across desktop and mobile, leading the e-commerce, Software Development and Customer Care teams to deliver best practice performance across the platforms. You will own and drive the e-commerce technology roadmap, curate and manage the pipeline of innovative ideas including app development, bespoke customer experiences and loyalty & subscription programs, as well as develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships and partnerships.

The ideal candidate is a multi-tasker with multi-stakeholder management abilities. Energetic, self-motivated and results-driven with excellent communication skills and a willingness to engage effectively across the business. Experience in developing, leading and motivating a team is essential. Experience in international e-commerce highly regarded. Natural curiosity to analyse and improve, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets. At least 10 years of experience in an executive e-commerce management role. Must have proven experience with Google Analytics, developing insights from data and responding accordingly to improve the customer experience continually. Technical knowledge and understanding of e-commerce platforms and plugins. Experience in driving cost-efficient conversions through digital media, including SEM, SEO, remarketing and affiliate marketing. Demonstrated strong business judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify, prioritise and deliver high impact initiatives.
