Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the warehousing team at an iconic Australian fashion brand, founded in appreciation of considered design and refined simplicity.

In this role, the Warehouse Manager will own and manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including freight, shipping and receiving, returns and transfers.

They will be accountable for ensuring the efficient execution of tasks, maintaining high levels of accuracy, leading and developing the warehouse team, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

They will work with a big-picture operational lens to implement best-practice inbound, stock control, and inventory management, and will consistently oversee the financial management and reporting of the distribution centre, ensuring all cost factors fall in line with budgets.

Day-to-day, the Warehouse Manager will be accountable for ensuring the management of returns and their completion in a timely manner; ensuring the maintenance of an accurate delivery schedule and the subsequent communication to key stakeholders.

They will lead the communication of any purchase order quantity variance and will maintain and develop the inbound goods manual, sending updates to suppliers where required.

Alongside this, the Warehouse Manager will be an effective people leader, able to cultivate and reinforce a positive departmental culture. In doing so, they will oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance development, performance management, and exiting of all members of their team.

The talent we seek will hold a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience within a similar industry role and will have the proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines.

They will have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, sophisticated time management skills, and will be a flexible and collaborative individual.
