Role Overview


UMENCO is recruiting a Flagship Store Business Manager for an Australian menswear brand expanding into the UK market, their designs are centred around the art of tailoring, natural fibres and enduring craftsmanship.

The Flagship Store Business Manager will be responsible for leading the overall success of a premium retail store, driving commercial performance, operational excellence and exceptional customer experience. This role oversees all aspects of store profitability,, including achieving sales targets, managing wage and stock controls, implementing localised business strategies and identifying opportunities, to grow customer engagement and repeat business. By maintaining s strong understanding of the local market and customer profile, the Store Business Manager ensures the store consistently delivers outstanding results while upholding the brands premium positioning.

A key focus of the role is building, developing and inspiring a high-performing team. The Store Business Manager is responsible for attracting and retaining top talent, providing ongoing coaching, performance management and succession planning, while fostering a positive and accountable team culture. Leading by example, they create an environment where individuals are empowered to achieve their potential, deliver exceptional service and embody the company’s values in every interaction.

The role also champions customer service excellence through the development of meaningful client relationships, VIP engagement initiatives, events and personalised experiences. Working closely with customers and the wider business, the Store Business Manager will ensure all service standards are consistently executed, customer concerns are resolved professionally and opportunities to strengthen brand loyalty are maximised. They are also accountable for maintaining visual merchandising standards and ensuring the store environment reflects the quality and sophistication of the brand.

In addition, the Store Business Manager will oversee all operational functions across both front and back of house, ensuring compliance with company policies, workplace health and safety requirements and operational best practice. The successful talent will maintain high standards of stock integrity, administration, reporting and store presentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute business initiatives. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, leadership capability, organisational excellence and a genuine passion for people, product and performance all underpinned by a commitment to integrity, authenticity and customer-first thinking.
