UMENCO is seeking a Design Room Manager for a contemporary, luxury Australian brand who have a sophisticated yet playful approach to feminine style. 

The Design Room Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the design and product development process, ensuring the smooth execution of collections from concept through to production. Acting as a central point of coordination across design, pattern making, production and external suppliers, this responsible for managing critical paths, overseeing sample development and ensuring the design room operates efficiently and effectively.

Working closely with the Creative Director and Design Team, the successful talent will oversee sample tracking, fittings, fabric and trim management and workflow planning across multiple collections. The Design Room Manager will ensure deadlines are met, communication is seamless between stakeholders and all product development milestones are delivered to the highest standard. A strong understanding of garment construction, luxury product development and collection calendars will be essential to success.

The Design Room Manager will also be responsible for maintaining design room systems, managing resources, coordinating supplier communication and supporting the execution of fittings and collection reviews. The successful talent will identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows and contribute to the efficient delivery of seasonal collections while maintaining the brands exceptional quality standards.
