Role Overview


UMENCO is currently seeking an eCommerce Manager for a contemporary womenswear brand who embrace the philosophy of ‘less is more’.

The eCommerce Manager will be at the forefront of shaping the brands digital presence. The role is essential in crafting a seamless and engaging online experience that reflects the brand’s identity. The eCommerce Manager will lead the development and execution of the ecommerce strategy, manage day-to-day website operations, analyse stock sell-through and collaborate with the marketing team to deliver a responsive digital strategy. The focus of this role will be to enhance the customer journey and ultimately elevate the online presence, engagement and conversion rates. Working closely with the creative and operations team, the eCommerce Manager will play a central role in defining the digital direction of the brand.

The key responsibilities of this role will span a wide range of ecommerce functions. It will require managing the ecommerce platform daily, handling product updates, content changes and sales optimisation. The eCommerce Manager will be responsible for planning and executing the ecommerce marketing calendar and ensuring seamless online launches for new collections. Enhancing the customer experience will be a priority through consistent A/B testing, user experience improvements and collaborative efforts with the web development team. This role will also lead CRM initiatives using tools like Klaviyo to drive loyalty and deliver personalised customer experiences.

Additionally, the eCommerce Manager will monitor the performance of the website to identify growth opportunities and meet sales target. The successful talent will build data-informed content strategies that align with the marketing goals and SEO best practices, while working with operations and production teams to improve search and merchandising. Daily reporting and data analysis will play a crucial role in refining sales strategies, optimising campaign effectiveness and guiding strategic decisions. The insights of the eCommerce Manager will directly influence forecasting and help the business stay responsive to market trends.

The eCommerce Manager will bring a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking. A background in ecommerce, marketing or business is advantageous and experience in fashion or retail is preferred. Proficiency with Shopify Plus, digital marketing and performance analytics is essential. The successful talent will have a strong understanding of SEO, CRO and backend systems including inventory and shipping. The ideal talent will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor content for both local and international markets. This role requires a talent who will take ownership and drive results which will be key to success within the role.
