UMENCO is currently recruiting a General Manager to join an founder-led Australian accessories brand.

The General Manager will be responsible for leading the overall performance and direction of the business, ensuring alignment between the brands vision and its commercial outcomes. This role brings together day-to-day operational oversight with long-term strategic planning, translating business objectives into clear, actionable priorities across all functions while maintaining a consistent and elevated brand experience.

Working closely with the Founders, the General Manager will oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and cost management while identifying opportunities for sustainable growth. The role requires a strong commercial lens, balanced with an appreciation for brand integrity, ensuring that all initiatives support both profitability and positioning.

As a cross-functional leader, the General Manager drives alignment across retail, eCommerce, wholesale, supply chain and marketing, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture. This includes building and developing high-performing teams, streamlining operations and ensuring the business is set up with scalable processes to support continued expansion.
