UMENCO is currently seeking an experienced Menswear Designer for a renowned Australian menswear brand.

This is an opportunity for a highly creative Designer to bring both vision and commercial sensibility to the development of premium menswear. With a strong focus on knitwear and cut-and-sew categories. The successful talent will play a pivotal role in shaping trend driven, innovative seasonal collections that align with the brand’s DNA while upholding the highest standards of fit, quality and profitability. This hybrid position combines hands-on design expertise with leadership across product development, ensuring every stage of the process is delivered with precision and purpose.

The Menswear Designer, will manage the full product lifecycle, from concept sketches through to production sign-off. This includes sourcing and developing fabrics, trims and finished with a keen eye for aesthetics, functionality and sustainability while overseeing sampling, fittings and detailed technical packs. The successful talent will collaborate closely with Buying, Production and Marketing teams to drive creative and commercial outcomes while also cultivating strong supplier, mill and manufacturer relationships to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.

To succeed in this role, the Menswear Designer will bring at least five years of design and product development experience within premium apparel with proven strength in knitwear and cut-and-sew menswear. Skill set will combine creativity, technical garment knowledge and advanced Adobe Illustrator capability, along with strong leadership and organisational ability to guide teams and manage complex critical paths.
