Product Developer

UMENCO is recruiting a Product Developer to become an integral part of a contemporary womenswear brand celebrated for its effortless, minimalistic aesthetic, truly the essence of understated luxury.

The Product Developer will bring each collection to life – from initial sampling through to showroom and production. This role is ideal for someone with around three or more years of experience who is eager to grow their technical and production expertise within a collaborative studio environment.

The successful talent will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed tech packs across woven, knitwear and tailoring, while managing the sample development process from proto through to fit and SMS. The Product Developer will record and update fit notes with precision, measure samples to ensure consistency and support knitwear development with accurate knitting tech packs and yarn tracking. The role also involves liaising with offshore vendors to maintain timelines, preparing samples for fittings, showroom and campaign shoots and supporting the Creative Director with day-to-day product development needs.

The Product Developer will have strong garment construction knowledge, technical fabric understanding and proficiency in Adobe illustrator and Excel, with PLM experience as a bonus. Experience in knitwear development is highly regarded, alongside an organised, detail-focused and proactive approach. The role suits someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, small team setting where flexibility and problem-solving are key.
