Senior Interior Designer

UMENCO is currently seeking a Senior Interior Designer for a celebrated interior design studio, known for its sophisticated, highly curated approach to design.

The Senior Interior Designer will take ownership of luxury residential and select commercial projects, guiding them from initial concept through to final delivery. This is a key position suited to an experienced and highly creative design professional who can confidently manage bespoke projects in their entirety, ensuring the integrity of the design vision is maintained throughout every stage. Working in close partnership with the Design Director, the successful talent will oversee all aspects of project execution, delivering exceptional design outcomes, technical accuracy and a seamless client experience.

This role will lead the full project lifecycle, encompassing concept design, spatial planning, design development, detailed documentation, consultant coordination and site implementation. Responsibilities include designing custom joinery, specifying finishes, fixtures and materials and managing project timelines, budgets and stakeholder communications. The Senior Interior Designer will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, cohesively and to the highest standard. Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks and the ability to produce detailed technical documentation are essential.

The ideal talent will bring between five and ten years of experience within the high-end residential and/or commercial interiors sector, supported by a sophisticated design aesthetic and a genuine appreciation for vintage and antique furnishings. They Senior Interior Designer will possess a strong understanding of bespoke project delivery and demonstrate the ability to translate creative concepts into highly resolved interior environments.

Combining creativity with technical expertise, the successful talent will be an organised and proactive problem solver with excellent communication and relationship management skills. A polished, client-facing approach, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities will be critical to success in this role.
