Role Overview
UMENCO is currently seeking a Wholesale Manager for a brand who blend artistry and functionality, offering thoughtfully curated home goods and personal items. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Wholesale Manager is central to executing the brand’s wholesale strategy and driving sales across wholesale corporate and international distribution channels.
The Wholesale Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing national and international retail sales strategies, conducting marketing analysis and identifying trends to guide decision-making. As the key contact for retail partners, this role requires strong relationship-building skills to manage partnerships with Australian and international stockists and distributors. The role will include ensuring consistent reorders, delivering product training, overseeing merchandising standards and representing the brand in wholesale meetings. The Wholesale Manager will also be involved in collaborating with logistics partners to guarantee timely product delivery and maintaining compliance with international sales regulations.
In addition to retail responsibilities, the role manages the brands corporate gifting program. Which includes responding to enquiries, building a lead database and growing corporate sales to meet defined targets. Retail operations will also be a key focus, with duties including onboarding new stockists, maintaining the wholesale prospects database, managing wholesale communications and supporting the overall operational flow. The Wholesale Manager will work closely with the Commercial Manager and Head of Sales to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing success of retail partnerships.
Promotional planning is another critical component of the role, involving collaboration with the Marketing team to execute in-store campaigns and promotional events. The successful talent will bring at least 5 years of sales experience – ideally in the beauty or fashion sectors – alongside strong commercial insight, proficiency in Excel and inventory systems and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment. Reliability, adaptability, clear communication and a proactive approach are essential traits for success in this role.
