Role Overview
UMENCO is currently recruiting an eCommerce Manager for a contemporary RTW brand who design considered, high quality and sustainably sourced wardrobe essentials.
The eCommerce Manager is responsible for driving growth across all ecommerce channels and overseeing the daily operations of the brands website and marketplaces globally. Reporting to the CEO, this role involves working closely with key stakeholders, including marketing, buying and planning, finance and logistics teams The eCommerce Manager will manage operational budgets, plan digital projects, identify growth opportunities and contribute to the development of revenue growth strategies, ensuring that brand and commercial objectives are met. The roles also involves overseeing website performance, product launches and the continuous enhancement of digital experiences.
A core aspect of the role is website management, where the eCommerce Manager ensures that monthly and annual revenue targets are achieved. The successful talent will lead the day-to-day operations of the website and various marketplaces while motivating the eCommerce team to maintain digital best-in-class digital platforms that align with the brands vision. This includes coordinating product launches, key trade activities and the development of business cases for web enhancements. The eCommerce Manager also works closely with external vendors to evaluate new technologies that improve customer experience and increase conversion rates.
In addition to digital strategy and website management, the eCommerce Manager oversees digital projects ensuring timely execution of site enhancement and working with cross-functional teams to convert project briefs into actionable roadmaps. The successful talent will track progress, manage stakeholder expectations and lead initiatives aimed at improving site performance, navigation and customer experience. The role requires analytical expertise with responsibilities including the regular reporting and analysis of online trade performance to identify optimisation opportunities. Furthermore, the eCommerce Manager leads the ecommerce and customer care team ensuring effective communication, team development and alignment with broader business goals.
To succeed in this role, the eCommerce Manager must possess strong operational and technical expertise in ecommerce platforms, SEO, site merchandising, digital analytic tools like Google Analytics. Experienced with ERP systems, such as AP21 and Shopify is beneficial. The role also requires excellent time management, problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical teams and collaborate effectively with other departments. Key relationshIps include the CEO, ecommerce team, brand and communication teams and retail operations ensuring smooth collaboration and the effective delivery of digital projects and initiatives.
