Role Overview
UMENCO is seeking an eCommerce Manager for a female-founded brand whose designs are centred around key seasonal styles and modern tailored essentials.
The eCommerce Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the brands ecommerce operations while leading a team and reporting to the Head of Digital. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional online shopping experience, driving sales growth and ensuring operational excellence Additionally, the eCommerce Manager is responsible for mentoring the eCommerce Coordinator, fostering a high-performing team environment and aligning with business goals and seasonal timelines.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Head of Digital to develop and implement the annual ecommerce strategy, managing the ecommerce calendar, and identifying growth opportunities through market and competitor analysis. The eCommerce Manager also oversees website content creation, ensuring optimal performance, navigating and SEO strategies to enhance organic traffic. They ensure the website provides a seamless shopping experience and plan weekly homepage updates and promotional content in collaboration with internal teams.
The eCommerce Manager is responsible for analysing ecommerce performance metrics like sales, traffic and conversion rates, generating actionable insights to inform strategy and ensuring campaigns achieve ROI targets. The successful talent will manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring deliverables meet performance standards and KPI’s. In addition, the talent will collaborate with internal teams, such as PR, Graphics and Retail to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and initiatives that enhance the customer experience.
In terms of people management, the eCommerce Manager leads, mentors and manages the eCommerce Coordinator, setting clear objectives and performance goals. They foster a positive, collaborative and high-performance team culture, delegating tasks to ensure timely project delivery. The role requires proven ecommerce management experience, strong project management skills, an analytical mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
