Role Overview


UMENCO is currently recruiting a Head of eCommerce for an established swim and ready-to-wear brand who are known for their contemporary silhouettes and luxurious fabrics.

The Head of eCommerce will lead the strategic development and execution of the company’s global eCommerce platform and online sales channels. With a key focus on driving substantial growth within the US market. This leadership role requires a blend of strategic insight, operational execution and hands on management to accelerate online revenue, enhance customer engagement and foster brand loyalty.

A core responsibility of the Head of eCommerce will be to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the brands broader business goals. This includes identifying emerging trends, market opportunities and setting clear KPIs to track progress in online sales, customer experience and market expansion. Additionally, the role will involve overseeing the management of the brands Shopify platform, ensuring seamless site performance, user experience and functionality through optimisation, A/B testing and personalisation strategies.

The role also involves integrating digital marketing efforts, where the Head of eCommerce will collaborate with the marketing team to drive traffic and engagement across paid media, SEO, email campaigns and social media. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics to monitor key metrics such as traffic, conversion rates and customer acquisition cost (CAC), using insights to refine strategies and improve performance. The role requires a deep understanding of customer acquisition channels and data-driven decision-making, with an emphasis on high return on ad spend (ROAS)

Operational excellence is central to the role, requiring collaboration with supply chain, logistics, and IT teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and system scalability. Additionally the Head of eCommerce will play a pivotal role in expanding the business into international markets, ensuring that the brand adapts to local preferences regarding language, currency and culture. This position requires proven eCommerce leadership experience, particularly in fashion or premium sectors, as well as proficiency in platforms such as Shopify and Google analytics, and the ability to inspire cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious growth targets.
