Role Overview
UMENCO is currently seeking an International Sales Manager for a contemporary lifestyle brand who has a focus on luxurious styles with a modern take on luxury.
Reporting directly to the Founder, the International Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in the expansion of the brand within the international wholesale markets. The successful talent will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and day-to-day management of the wholesale activities globally. The primary focus will be building a strong wholesale network by targeting new and key accounts while driving market and in-season sales to meet seasonal budgets. The International Sales Manager will also manage global showrooms, including booking, organising and conducting appointments. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational expertise to grow and transform the brand.
The core responsibilities of the role include developing and executing strategic plans aimed at boosting wholesale revenue and market share. The Sales Manager will cultivate relationships with new wholesale accounts and actively pursue new business opportunities. A pivotal part of the role will be analysing market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities Additionally, they will negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with distributors and retailers too optimise profitability. Collaborating with the marketing and product team, the successful talent will develop effective promotional strategies and product assortments to support sales targets.
The International Sales Manager will lead, mentor and motivate a sales coordinator to achieve domestic sales objectives while closely monitoring sales performance and preparing regular reports for management review. The role also includes ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations as well as travelling as required to meet clients, showcase collections and build relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal talent will have strong organisational, communication and leadership skills, a deep understanding of fashion and a desire for contributing to the growth of the brand. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and planning/reporting skills are essential for success in this role.
