Logistics Coordinator

UMENCO is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a contemporary womenswear brand who embrace the philosophy of ‘less is more’.

The Logistics Coordinator is a newly created role designed to support Operations, Sales and Production teams in managing inbound and outbound shipments. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Logistics Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Production and Wholesale Operations Manger to ensure efficient logistics operations. This includes overseeing outbound shipments to retail partners via 3PL providers in both Australia and Hong Kong, as well as helping establish and manage new global 3PL partnerships. The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive candidate with a strong understanding of logistics operations in the fashion industry.

The ideal talent will possess excellent organisational skills, strong communication abilities and a commitment to enhancing efficiency across the supply chain. The Logistics Coordinator will oversee inventory management, shipping and delivery processes, ensuring timely and effective order fulfilment for global retail partners. The role also involves continuously refining logistics practices to improve operational effectiveness and meet business goals.

Key responsibilities include coordinating logistics by managing inventory levels and collaborating with 3PL providers in Sydney and HongKong to ensure on-time, accurate fulfilment. The Logistics Coordinator will track shipments, resolve transit issues and liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders for international shipments. Additionally, the role requires managing relationships with 3PL providers, optimising shipping rates and aligning distribution with production schedules. The successful talent will also be responsible for managing customer delivery requirements, handling EDI processing and staying informed on global shipping INCOTERMS to minimise risk.

In addition to day-today logistics coordination, the role involves supporting project management initiatives by implementing new 3PL partnerships and contributing to best practices in logistics operations. The coordinator will report on production and delivery timelines, track packaging levels and ensure the smooth delivery of inbound shipments. Key qualifications include proven experience in logistics coordination, a solid understanding of 3PL management and customs regulations, proficiency in logistics software and strong communication and organisational skills. The role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple stakeholders.
