Role Overview
UMENCO is recruiting a People & Culture Manager for a noted Australian RTW and lifestyle brand, who are known for their refined wardrobe staples.
The People & Culture Manager will lead and embed the brands cultural and core values across all areas of the business. This role is instrumental in promoting a positive workplace environment while developing and implementing policies and procedures that support best practice in day-to-day operations. The successful talent will act as a coach and leader, ensuring that the brands values are consistently reflected in all personnel practices and employee interactions.
Key responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date and compliant employee records, developing role-specific job descriptions and aligning KPI’s with company goals. The role also oversees the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance development and off-boarding. Supporting quarterly development plans, performance reviews and annual appraisals is critical to ensuring continuous professional growth and operational effectiveness. The successful talent will also be responsible for responding to HR-related queries with professionalism, discretion and a strong service mindset.
Workplace compliance is another major component of this position. The People & Culture Manager will lead the implementation of Work Health and Safety policies and ensure compliance across all regions. Close collaboration with Payroll is essential to ensure accurate award rates and the timely integration of Fair Work Commission updates. In addition, the role includes the ongoing review and training of company policies and procedures to ensure understanding and alignment throughout the business.
To be successful in this role, the successful talent will bring a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar capacity, ideally supported by a business or HR-related degree. The ideal talent will be a strategic, result-driven and capable of fostering a culture that is humble, hungry and smart. Strong communication, leadership and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to inspire and mentor others. A collaborative and inclusive approach, combined with a commitment to innovation and employee engagement, will ensure alignment with the brands values and long-term success.
