UMENCO is seeking a Senior Garment Technician for a cutting edge lifestyle wear brand.

As the Senior Garment Technician the successful talent will have a deep knowledge and genuine passion for technical garment construction, focusing on both garment fit and functionality. With a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a garment technician in the activewear space, the successful talent will have honed their expertise working with both men’s and women’s wear.

The successful talent will have an extensive understanding of pattern making with the ability to apply your knowledge across a wide range of knit and woven fabrics. A well-versed skills and understanding of pattern grading, including setting grade riles is essential as we as sizing block libraries and construction consistency.

The Senior Garment Technician will have a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple collections simultaneously, ensuring high quality styles are developed on time.

This role encompasses the creation and maintenance of comprehensive tech packs, from size specs and grade rules to measurement sketches and construction pages. The Senior Garment Technician will create detailed annotations, artwork placement pages and oversee care labels, packaging, labelling as will as providing clear development notes for suppliers to ensure all information is available. The successful talent will handle sampling requests and offer ongoing support to the supplier, being the main point of contact.

This key role within the product development team, requires for the successful talent to be across all stages of the sampling process as well as updating relevant suppliers and team members as necessary.
